Walk and Talk
I can’t say it any better than I did on July 16, 2012:
Like most people of good taste, I’m a huge (if late-coming) fan of Aaron Sorkin’s writing style, and one of the techniques he’s most known for is the “walk and talk,” which was used most prominently in his TV series The West Wing. It’s pretty simple: The camera follows two characters who engage in banter as they walk to their destinations, usually having different origin points and different ending points.
So, yeah, this and the last strip put together are just one long take of a Sorkin-esque walk-and-talk scene. But we’ve learned stuff!
